Great little app

Running this app on my MacPro, Mac OS X 10.11.1. Works like a charm. Not a lot of polish to the interface, but works great as a MIDI player. It lets you change things like tempo and instrument assignments per track. Also lets you see the MIDI commands if you want. Haven’t tried it yet on MusicXML files.
